A New Millenium, A New Light:
An International Survey of Architectural Glass Art

In April of 2003, The Louisville Visual Art Association will host, A New Millennium, A New Light: An International Survey of Architectural Glass Art, the most complete international architectural glass exhibition in 25 years. Kenneth von Roenn, internationally renowned art glass designer, will curate the exhibit. Featured in the exhibit will be models and photographs of large scale architectural installations as well as concept pieces and original stained glass works by some of the most prominent architectural glass artists around the globe.

The participating artists include Ludwig Schaffrath, Johannes Schreiter, Joachim Klos, Jochem Poensgren from Germany; José Castrillo from Spain; Lutz Haufschild and Warren Carther from Canada; and Ed Carpenter, James Carpenter, John Luebtow, Paul Marioni with his partner Ann Troutner, Donald Carlos Thomas, Kenneth von Roenn Jr. and David Wilson from the United States.

The Louisville Visual Art Association (LVAA) is a dynamic institution, leading the community in art education, visual arts advocacy, and fostering the creativity of today’s artists. Since 1909, the Louisville Visual Art Association has been the area’s foremost contemporary visual art center and maintains its leadership role through an active schedule of art classes, one-of-a-kind special events and exhibitions. Its facilities include gallery, workshop and administrative office space at Louisville’s landmark Water Tower, an education facility at Artopia creative arts studios in St. Matthews, and a sales gallery at TryArt at the AEGON Building across from the Convention Center. The Louisville Visual Art Association is a member of the Fund for the Arts and is funded in part by the City of Louisville, the Kentucky Arts Council - a state agency of Education, Arts and Humanities Cabinet.

Admission:
Admission Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3 for LVAA Members and students with ID.
